Re: 5 Year Ownership Review

You all have pretty much described my sentiment once the initial bugs were worked out with my 2012. Practical, unpretentious, user friendly yet technologically advanced work horse, reliable, economical, distinctly designed, Compact yet spacious, great visibility & higher seating position, easy ...

Re: Tesla Model 3

I understand that these people are highly regarded in the auto industry but I can see some old-world resistance to change. After viewing this video several times, it is quite apparent that the only thing he and I share are the same first name. His immediate attitude (snickering and negative comments...

Re: Friction brakes issue- 100% braking force - calipers?

Your warning light experience sounds familiar to the problem I had.
Keep in mind that my Miev is a 2014 North American edition..

Did you watch the video recordings of my problem from my posting that you linked to above?
How does it compare to your problem?

Re: An iMiev for my wife

Great choice for an around town car if the range is sufficient for your daily needs. The battery is actively cooled by the AC system while Charging on Level 3 . The earlier 2012 models may have the older battery chemistry and some have reported AC failures . I believe the 2014 & later models wer...

Re: Friction brakes issue- 100% braking force - calipers?

We get a lot of snow and slush and crust here in Quebec, Canada. I also park the car lately in the garage - a breeding ground for rust. Occasionally I'll get the stuck brake in the morning on start off. Once and a while I'll run her up to highway speed on a safe unoccupied back road , put it in Neut...

Re: wanted: Flap/cover for J1772 level 2 port on 2012

Hi Sean , I have experienced the flap cover breaking off and had to make a substitute cover. I don't think it is sold separately. This occurred when i put the car into drive while it was plugged in . It would not go forward but since I was parked on a slope , it rolled forward and ripped the pistol ...

I am no expert in this field. I have some information from the facebook I Miev en Francaise group that may be of relevance. Part of a posting there by Gerald Fiola– in French Savez vous que les 4 pieces principales mcu moteurs chargeur et contrôleur communiques ensembles via une programmations Mais...

Re: Failed traction battery. How many weeks does Mitsubishi make you wait?

So with the dealers reasoning anything drawing power off of the 12v battery risks your traction battery guarantee. What's next you can't do, plug in your cell phone , electric blanket, seat heater cushion? 6 weeks without a diagnosis or your car is irresponsible . Sorry this is a sore spot for me ha...

Re: Failed traction battery. How many weeks does Mitsubishi make you wait?

If anything, the diesel heater would take some stress off of the traction battery allowing fewer
charging / discharging cycles.
