Re: Chevy Bolt production version

Another person who drives in the max regen mode all the time - I wish we had his steering wheel paddle to turn on the brake lights and come to a complete stop. Wonder how hard it would be to rig a paddle by using our brakelight switch terminals?

Re: ArticBlast

I would hope not many people of average intelligence or better would fall for such a scam! It's easy to recognize scams as they almost always make truly outlandish, over the top claims, supported by virtually nothing " . . . . improve gas mileage by up to 25% . . . . " Even in Phoenix on a...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

How you accelerate from 25 to 55 has a lot to do with how far the car will go - If you do it keeping the needle to the left side of the center mark, you will use lots less juice. It will take you longer to get to 55, but you'll waste less energy doing it. Same with decelerating from 55 back to 25 - ...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

Imagine en Evo X that made 310 HP at factory, then only made 235.5 HP at 34,xxx mi.Or perhaps a Mirage that got 44mpg new and 32 mpg at 34,xxx miles. WHO WOULDN'T BE PISSED?!. Gas engine cars don't typically have a falloff in either power or mileage as they age, so, yeah, if you experienced that, y...

Never experienced anything remotely like this in either of the cars - All the buttons do what they're supposed to 100% of the time

Re: Hypermiling the i-MiEV

I suspect most of us use these cars more in urban traffic than in places where we would want or need to use higher speed hypermiling skills. You can still get RR's of 80 or 85 miles in typical stop and go traffic if you accelerate very gently keeping the amps needle well below the mid mark *and* dec...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

The "so I could have a for my GF" didn't make sense to me, nor the "17bars/kWh consumed" - I had no idea what energy measurement you were using . . . . and still don't So . . . . 17 fuel gauge bars used for 51 miles at 100 kmh or thereabouts? It's really hard to tell how much ene...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

No warranty, but the technician's fiddling fixed the problem. It would be really interesting to know what 'fiddling' could have made such a difference Made a long trip; all highway, ac, heavy rain, lights, and wipers. 51 miles, (made a 5 minute qc stop so I could have a for my GF) 17bars/kWh consum...

Re: Charging Down Route 66

Wondering if Rick kept some sort of spreadsheet of the total costs of the trip? Hotel/motels, charging, meals etc?

Re: Chevy Bolt production version

I would rather not EVER buy a gas car again...so no Volt for me whatever the price. I however was extremely impressed with the Bolt EV....just a really nice car. My point was not to get you to look at buying a Volt - That was just an example of what sort of deal you might get on a Bolt if you waite...
