Re: Admin: Posting Pictures on this Forum

I've been here for 6+ years and never posted a single photo - It's just incredibly more difficult than on any other site I frequent (where I do post photos). Just not worth the trouble here, sadly Maybe one day we'll join the 21st century here, but after waiting 6 years, I'm for sure not holding my ...

Re: i-MiEV (and clones) in non-supported (?) markets

Does anyone has any hints on how difficult owning a small EV would be in a country that supposedly doesn't offer any official support? Or should I wait for a couple of more years until Tesla officially sells in Greece, in which case everybody else will hurry to the same direction as well? Two separ...

Re: Supplemental cooling for the charger.

Comments please. Is any of this worthwhile, or is a charger replacement every 50-90k just to be expected? I guess if you're always in need of a quick turnaround, your 3300 watt figure just can't be avoided - But, if not, recharging L1 at 12 amps (1440 watts) will cut your waste heat by more than ha...

Tire Rack has the Continentals for the front - $85 each . . . . or, the OE Dunlops for $141 each - Your choice

Re: A New Tire For Us!

That is truly unfortunate! We've had the same UPS driver for several years. He knows to deliver all packages to the side porch and if we're not home, he sets them inside the 'people door' of the garage, which we leave unlocked just for that purpose I didn't have to sign anything when my tires were d...

He hasn't posted here in about a year - Wonder if he still owns the car . . . . and did the money he paid for the extended warranty ever benefit him at all . . . . other than the peace of mind?

Re: Now MR BEAN won’t charge!

It would be interesting to see if there is any correlation between predominantly used charging rate and charger failures. Are higher charging rates causing more failures? An interesting question, factors work both ways. Lower power levels on L1. But much less up time for the charger on L2 Perhaps i...

Re: Lost regen with new tires

i love regen and wouldn't want to give it up, but would like to go bigger front and rear. I am going to put 175/55R15's on the front and 185/60R15's on the back in the not too distant future. I'm relatively sure those sizes will work and not affect regen. I'm having a pair of 15 X 5.5 Mini wheels c...

Re: Lost regen with new tires

I *think* even a small difference is enough to inhibit regen if the rears are smaller than the fronts by any amount - With the rear wheels turning more revolutions compared to the front than the computer thinks is normal, it assumes (I assume) that the rear end has lost traction, so adding regen to ...

Letting everyone know where it's located would be a good idea. Good luck with your sale!
