Re: Chevy Bolt production version

I had an opportunity to test drive a Bolt today. I must say that I am impressed. First off, acceleration is very strong. So strong that I easily chirped the tires on dry pavement while moving and I wasn't all the way into it yet   . My only concern there is how that will handle snow/i...

Re: How do I disable the alarm so I can disconnect the 12 v battery?

Were the doors locked? With the remote? I just disconnected the 12 volt on one of my cars because it won't be driven for a while. What I did was open the hood, lock the doors from the inside switch, disconnect the negative terminal, then close the hood. Locking with the button on the door won't set ...

Re: Some trouble with AC on my C-zero

Was it rather humid before? It's possible that low pressure could've caused the coil to freeze up and restrict airflow. The reduced surface area would also cause the air to not cool as well. The A/C in one part of my work's building froze up so bad once that it took 2 hours of running the furnace to...

Re: A/C Issue.

Underneath is your best bet, but it is close enough to the wheel well if you can't get the car up in the air.

Re: A/C Issue.

If you have a jack and a couple of jackstands, you should be able to reach the A/C compressor by removing the left front wheel and inner fender lining.

Re: Hatched a Tesla

I've been spending my time watching the Model 3 sighting threads (people are spotting the test cars all over the place). Elon shared pictures of production #1 the other day. I guess the Handover Party set fot the 28th is going to mostly be specs and details as the reveal, and then hand over keys to ...

Re: turning off the horn beep at locking

Basically, leave the driver door open, hold the lock button until it blinks twice. While continuing to hold the lock button 2-3 seconds after the double blink, press the unlock button, momentarily holding both buttons. Then, release the lock button followed by the unlock button. The car should beep....

Re: Passive cooling ?

The thing to watch for when trying to run the pack fan is that the cabin HVAC has the battery damper flipped and the vents set to the floor. Otherwise, you're not going to get much airflow through the pack. Although not really passive cooling, I have removed the servo that controls the battery air d...

Re: Tesla Model 3

Definitely. High 80's still doubles practically every gas burner. I'm curious on the official numbers for the 3, given that it is smaller and should be considerably lighter.

Nope. They've given up on it in the US. The I-MiEV is no longer listed on the US website.
