Re: Australian and New Zealand based i-Miev Owners.

I saw a white Imiev with blue EV stickers in Christchurch, NZ today. Cool as, .!. I wound down the Prius C S Tech Window and gave a grin and a Thumb Up and the driver drove past smiling..

Re: Australian and New Zealand based i-Miev Owners.

Thanks, everyone, for the cool replies. I have found three here on trademe.co.nz, search for i-miev and you will find three currently on there. Best price is $ 20, 000 NZ. I wonder if I should follow you and import one instead.?. Ideally I am looking for five cars, so the cost per each is best if re...

Re: Australian and New Zealand based i-Miev Owners.

Hi WyVern, Thank you for your reply also. I looked at the pricing on the link you mentioned and after factoring in shipping and exchange rate, the pricing is about the same as in NZ. So I think buying here is going to be best. Hoping to push for buying the before winter here. Merry Christmas to ever...

Re: Australian and New Zealand based i-Miev Owners.

Hi, and thank you Malm for the link, it was really good and I spent some time there looking. There are some non listed iMiEVs available I think directly from Mitsubishi in NZ, but only 1 that I have seen listed on a dealer site and one private one on a http://www.trademe.co.nz site. I aim to approac...

Australian and New Zealand based i-Miev Owners.

Hi, I would like to start a thread for the NZ and Aussie owners. There haven't been a lot of i-MiEV's sold here in NZ, and there are now none on the sales yards that I know of. I understand it may also be similar in Aussie. It would be cool to have a thread where we can talk about the things that ar...

a car and bike rental firm in Singapore. I have written to them and they were really helpful.

Was thinking of doing the same thing here in NZ.

Re: Do you feel ICE drivers bully the iMiev ?

I wouldn't worry too much about the people who drive silly, and too close, they generally take off past me if I pull over. But the size of the car you are in and how it is percieved sure does change some of the other drivers attitudes. My work has an Adventra V8 which is very similar to the V6 Holde...

Re: EV tax in North Carolina

Hi, Here in New Zealand, we have RUC or Road User Tax, and this is applied to nearly all vehicles that use the road, and do not use already taxed fuel. Petrol here is about the only taxed at pump, fuel with Diesel being popular for many cars as it is not taxed at the pump, but instead a per Km fee b...

Hi Carnut, Yep the cars could come over here ok, problem is warranty, most of the ones in NZ and online in Aus are 2011 ones so no warranty left as such on the car itself, the one we were going to buy was finishing in July 2014. The battery warranty still applies though and I guess if needed, it wou...
