Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Thanks JoeS. I've been scrounging around trying to find a used one for almost a week now. Nothing. What I really want to know is, what went wrong with the current one? I bet it's actually nothing expensive to fix at all, but it's much easier for them to simply force you to replace the whole unit, ra...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

I'll send it to you if you'd like to check it out. Any other advice or help would be appreciated. Thank...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

@Kiev, thank you so much for your response! It really means a lot to me. I will contact the dealer and get the codes and post them. Until then here is what I know. First the Aux battery, is less than a year old. I did hook it up to a battery charger and charge it to full, to make sure the low state ...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Well, bad news, the fuse blew again. Now they want to replace the MCU. And you're right, the cost is and outrageous $4800. Need help! What should I do? the car is over 5 years old (less than 6) and has 60,680 miles on it, so I'm out of warranty. I'm desperate here. Does anyone know where I could get...

Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Edit: This post is incorrect. The main charging unit is the issue No, I don't have a ChadiMo So I got a new traction pack about a year ago, under warranty. Everything has been great. Then, last week, I plugged in and charged the car from 1 bar to full. It had been a long time since the car had been...

Re: Traction battery going bad or something else?

Greetings. I would recommend taking it to the dealership and getting the battery replaced under warranty right away. I say that, because that's what I had to do! This was a little more than a year ago. The car had 50k+ miles on it, and was purchased in Jan of 2012. I'm not upset about this, because ...

Re: Warning Light after hill climb

JoeS -- High 80's. Maybe 92%, tops. looking at my driving and charging times, I basically had current running into and out of the battery, non-stop for 5+ hours. Is it just me, or is the Exclamation Point Over Car warning light our "catch all" trouble light? I looked, and we don't have a T...

Warning Light after hill climb

Has anyone else had the Exclamation Mark warning light come on following a lot of high speed driving and a major hill climb? This hasn't happened to me before, or since. Basically, I had a very busy day with my Meever. 8am to 8:30am-- Drove to get some coffee and do some city sight seeing: 15 miles ...

Remote Start?

Anyone know of, or have experience with adding Remote Start to an i-MiEV?

Reason: It's nice to preheat the car before I get in it. Yes, I know I can use the Remote dongle to heat the car, but only when plugged in. It would be really nice to get into a warm car, when i'm not plugged in.
