Re: My winter driving range has dropped a lot!

Don, I'm hoping the upgrade isn't that expensive. We seem to be on the cusp of 200 mile range EVs that are quite affordable. The Tesla Model 3 looks like a fantastic car for the money if Elon Musk can keep it to the price that he promised. We have had a great experience with our i-Miev and will keep...

Re: My winter driving range has dropped a lot!

I have noticed a huge drop in range in the cold weather as well. We are just coming off a cold spell in Seattle, and the battery was barely making it though the day when I had the heat going. In the summer months, we rarely went below 75% charge at the end of the day for our typical routine. So that...

Carplay Receiver?

Has anyone installed an after-market receiver with Apple Carplay support? It looks like there are only two on the market right now - one from Pioneer and one from Alpine. I was thinking about getting the Alpine receiver.

Re: Consumer Reports "Review"

That's not much of a surprise considering what's happened to Consumer Reports in recent years. They have gone from being a well-respected product review organization to a sensationalist link-baiting website.

Re: Car Keys

I just called my Mitsubishi dealer to see what it would cost to get an official copy of the key. It's $185 for the key and $65 for the programming. That's $250 for a spare key! I wanted to make an extra copy to leave with a neighbor, but not at that price. I hope the generic chip-key makers can prov...

ProClip Left Mount does not fit the new Mitsubishi i

I recently ordered a mount from ProClip so I could use it with an iPhone holder. I have been using the same type of setup on my Prius for years and it is a great convenience. ProClip states that they have a mount for the 2010-2013 Mitsubishi i-Miev. This mount does not seem to fit the US version of ...

After-market rear view camera?

Has anyone had any luck with after-market rear view cameras? I didn't get the package on the i that included the rear-view camera because I didn't want all the other stuff that came with it. I actually think rear-view cameras should be a mandatory safety feature an all cars. It's also very handy for...

Re: Hidden charges (CA-specific) ?

I also had a very smooth delivery experience picking mine up from San Rafael (California) a few weeks ago. They got me out of there just as fast as their printers coud print up the paperwork. An earlier poster mentioned a dealer inspection fee in an earlier post. If a dealer tries to add that, you s...

Re: brand new I MIEV

Congrats to the new owners! I'm glad they are hitting the streets. I still haven't seen one (other than mine) in San Francisco, but there must be a few out there.

Re: Car Keys

Has anyone tried to make a copy of their 'i' key yet? I took mine to the local hardware store and they put it in their chip-key scanner. According to them, it's a chip key that they can't just make from a blank. Can anyone confirm this?
