Re: Want one, but cautious. Opinions please.

Don’t police target red cars? :) not that speeding is worth the hit in a MIEV.... I love my blue color, and once I did a test drive I was sold on the car. And the first question I asked was did it have the DCQC. Dealer didn’t know anything about the car but they knew that as I had to drive for an ho...

Re: I Saw a Nissan Leaf 2018

Read an article that Nissan will offer a 60-kWh version in 2019 with a 200 mile range.

It looks nice I must say.

Re: Want one, but cautious. Opinions please.

Don, does that mean it’s 10 years for all i-MIEV cars or only 2014 models and newer? Dealer told me I only had 8 years. Mitsubishi made this change in 2014 but retroactively affecting all I-miev's in the U.S. Your dealer may be looking up the original warranty on the vehicle. You know many of them ...

Re: Want one, but cautious. Opinions please.

The factory battery warranty was 8 years or 100,000 miles and they extended that to 10 years in 2014 for all cars. True, it only covers a pack failure and they are fairly rare, but the degradation rally hasn't proven to be a major issue - It may be up to 30% by the time you have 100K on it, but an ...

Re: Oh look another new i-MIEV owner!

Unfortunately I’m renting my house atm so installing a L2 isn’t really an option. Not to mention it’s shame I’m not eligible for the tax credit since I didn’t buy the I-MIEV new. Could have gotten 50% off the installing and L2. Oh well. Best thing I can do now is upgrade my EVSE for 12A. It’s expens...

Re: Want one, but cautious. Opinions please.

Unless I’m missing something the battery warranty is only 8 years. It’s only good for battery failure which seems extremely rare. Battery degradation is expected and Mitsubishi won’t cover that(unless it’s really excessive perhaps). But these cars seem to hold up very well. I just bought a 2012(low ...

Re: Imiev 2016 issue

What’s the issue?

I’m in Canada and I did a 1 day trip with multiple QC in a single in my 2012 and I didn’t have any problems.

Re: Which OBD scan tool should I buy using caniOn app

I have this exact adapter and it works with Cani0n. However I’ve only gotten it to sync with my Samsung Galaxy Tab4 once. Every time since it refuses to pair stating “incorrect PIN”. It connects and before I can hit accept the prompt just closes and it comes back with that error. I have to fix my Le...

Re: Remote fob range extension?

Has anyone managed to find a hack to extend the usable range of the remote? Or any method for initiating the pre-cool/heat process without using the remote (e.g. cellular hack, networked EVSE, etc.)? I finally, Finally, FINALLY got my work to install a Chargepoint EVSE. This will be my first winter...

Re: EVs in Everyday Life

Up here in Canada I don’t think I’ve never seen anything other than a Tesla or a Volt outside of a charging station.

Usually a Model S but I’ve been seeing more and more Model X lately.
