Re: Charging Down Route 66

Rick, thanks for that. Wow, perhaps I've asked you for too much of a blow-by-blow. :? The RR represents your previous 15 miles of driving, and my rule of thumb is that all is well when RR=32 and 8 bars. At the lower end, your 4 bars varied between 13RR (a bit low) to 20RR (about right if you're driv...

Re: Chevy Bolt production version

Hi....i am on my return trip on my route 66 journey here in California. I have now seen 5 Chevy Bolts charging here. Way cool...seems to be a nice car! Probably my next EV. Careful, if you take a test drive and realize you can go four times further than the i-MiEV on a single charge, for your retur...

Re: Charging Down Route 66

Rick, perhaps show your fuel gauge bars accompanying your RR? As you remember, hilly terrain and winds can significantly alter the correlation between the two.

Trip Data Spreadsheet updated for the return trip.

Re: "Secret Box"

Excitedly, I went looking… sadly, North American i-MiEVs do not have this little cubbyhole. I thought that maybe the NA airbags may intrude, but the volume above the glove compartment is there, just not the "box".

Re: Motor Warning Light Comes On Shortly After Restart With Nearly Full Charge

jbpatry, I am glad that the dealership worked with you and seriously attempted to pursue this problem. You're on record in Mitsu's database as having this issue should it ever recur. I am closing this thread and, jbpatry, should you ever wish to revisit this topic please send a moderator a PM and we...

Re: Charging Down Route 66

Rick - congratulations! Selinda - double congratulations!! Only a couple of days past your original schedule, and 2786 miles vs. 2642 projected. Wonderful that you had no flat tires and no 'turtle'. Enjoy your stay in California and be sure to do some touristing before heading back. Do keep posting ...

Re: EVs in Everyday Life

Why anyone would take a Tesla to COSTCO is beyond me... the i-MiEV is sooo much more practical.

Re: Hatched a Tesla

Only in California would one hop into a car and take a 550mile daytrip just to have a look at some bloomin' flowers in the Southern California desert last week. That plus a couple of circuitous-route trips up to Oregon and we've done 3000 miles in the last few weeks, rivalling Rick's cross-country R...
