Re: Dead Charger Repair, How To (Summary and Discussion)

kiev, thank you and skylogger and electronpusher and coulomb and jray3 and Quixotix and all the rest for the wonderful collaborative reverse-engineering investigations. Really appreciated! As far as the causes, especially power interruption - I think I may be in trouble, as for the last six years al...

Re: after a full charge how many miles supposed to show on the miev display?

Totally agree with Don.

jafcorrea, you're evidently in the SF Bay Area. I'll be back home in a week or so and if you still haven't bought your i-MiEV I'll be happy to let you borrow my CaniOn setup to measure the battery capacity of prospective cars.

Re: Hatched a Tesla

On the road again... exploring and visiting friends. From San Francisco Peninsula, up the coast to avoid the Interstate 5 road closure (fire) into Medford Oregon to retrieve wife, then back up the coast to Astoria, in Washington missed connecting with jray3 by one day, then over to Vancouver Island ...

charliejuliett, thank you for making those measurements and posting the pictures. BIG difference between the two (not addressed in the recall notice).

Re: happy new owner

paxfamilia, congratulations! The seat heater switch was partially pushed in on my friend's i-MiEV when he bought it a few weeks ago. On your car, I'd be willing to bet that someone had simply jabbed the switch and it popped back out of its snaps and simply fell down behind the panel, with the wires ...

Re: Charging from 48V DC

dracekvo, similarly to you, I also have a 48v battery --> 4kW inverter to produce 240vac --> J1772 EVSE --> onboard charger --> i-MiEV battery pack. Haven't measured the 48v power draw to compare to CaniOn charging current&voltage readings, but I'm sure it's not very efficient. In my case, I alr...

Re: Any tips to damaging the main battery?

Hey guys (and gals), sorry, don't mean to offend anyone - I have an ethical problem with this thread. From the perspective of the manufacturer, their engineers did their best to design a battery management system to protect the battery so that Mitsubishi management could stick their necks out and co...

Re: 2012 I Miev SE for sale $4100

1Recycler, all battery replacements to date have been done under warranty at zero cost to the owner. Mitsubishi has been very good about this. Wish we could say the same about the charger/dc-dc module.

Dead Onboard Charger in Portugal

I opened up this new thread for footswitch as these posts had been in the charger cooling thread. Footswitch, very awkward situation for you, as Mitsubishi's prices for the onboard chargers are atrocious. I'm hoping that kiev and his team will continue their progress in repairing the darn things, an...

Re: 1,193 mile i-Miev trip finished!

Wonderful! ... and didn't you have a heat wave during that trip? Have you written up this trip anywhere? What was your percentage of DCFC, Level 2, and Level 1 charging? Surprised about ChargePoint, and EVgo has always had reliable hardware (for me) and their revised rate structure makes them now ve...
