Re: Hill Climbing!

Thanks for the report and glad it worked well. Don't forget you also have the ASC (Active Stability Control) disable switch to play with. As someone who's partial to FWD (my '67 Saab has 2/3 of its weight over the front wheels and is unstoppable!) I've been pleasantly surprised by the i-MiEV in iffy...

Re: Battery Capacity Testing

...Has anyone notice the Ah value increasing after a calibration-charge ? Hi Paul, yes mine went from 38.1Ah to 39.1Ah a couple of months ago after I did a long slow charge from two bars. Presently sitting at 38.9Ah. This was on the replacement battery which has about 35K miles on it. Even though I...

Re: Care and Feeding of the OBC/dc-dc

Hi guys, I moved the last two posts in here as we are trying to keep the OBC troubleshooting thread specifically focused on repairs to that unit. Thanks.

Re: Riversimple and Fuel Cell Discussions

What an excellent article about starting up hydrogen production using electricity that the islands are unable to export. A wonderful small-medium-scale demonstration. I had three takes from this: 1. "The island’s population had invested in a community-owned wind turbine in 2012, hoping to sell ...

Re: Warranty on Bianco's battery after 95k miles.

Clovis, thank you for taking the time to recount your experience. Glad to see that your perseverance is paying off and that Mitsubishi is finally going to take care of your technical issue, the bonus being a new battery. From Clovi's description, my impression is that the "Technical Professiona...

Re: iMiEV as workhorse

So, I live about 1/2-mile from the main road, and every week have the pleasure of hauling my trash, recycling, and brush cans down there. Used to do it with my electric scooter, but its motor threw a magnet when a teenager I let use it tried it out as a dirtbike. Last week Mitti (with trailer hitch)...

Re: Weird Charging Curve

When a ChargePoint station charges at just 1.1kW after a MiEV induced pause, I have found that calling ChargePoint and asking them to reboot that station will get the rate to return to 3kW, without having to physically go to the car to start a new session. Wow! Good information. Guess we'll have to...

Re: Electric Car Review Talking Points

One of the very nice features of our i-MiEV, first pointed out by IIRC jray3, is the fact that we can immediately start driving it after obtaining READY; in other words, there is negligible time delay from getting into the car and starting to drive it. In my driveway I buckle in while the car is mov...

Re: Turtle at Half Charge Under Load?!?!?!

The car is mostly charged on level one overnight. About two days a week it is drawn down to two bars. I'd be inclined not to take her down that much if you can help it. Do get an app and bluetooth OBDII adapter asap and measure those cells so you can better assess the situation yourself and see if ...

Re: Turtle at Half Charge Under Load?!?!?!

Graveaxis, sorry to hear and thank you for posting your video. Yes, "under load" is important information and I modified the title to reflect that. What year and how many miles does your car have? I note that the outside temperature was 32°F at the time you took the video. Totally agree wi...
