Re: Need a longer range ev

beespeckled, thank you for sharing. In our household, once the decision was made to go ICE-less, life became very simple as the field became narrow. After so many years in a pure BEV, I really hate riding in anything with an internal combustion engine! That said, PHEVs like the Outlander or Pacifica...

Re: Is my battery dying ?

DBMandrake, thank you for the update. Pity about the rust (here in California, my 1967 Saab is still rust-free so I'm clueless) and the bolts breaking are just a PIA to drill out and remove. Looking forward to the photos and your writeup of the process!

Re: On-Board Charger (OBC) Warranty Extended!

Thanks for the inputs. The only charging my friend has done for 3-1/2 years is using the Mitsu (Panasonic) EVSE on 120vac and has never charged anywhere else. First thing I had asked him to do was try another outlet. He travels a lot and the car is presently still sitting at the dealer's. There is a...

Re: On-Board Charger (OBC) Warranty Extended!

Well, a buddy of mine with a 2012 SE Premium (far away from California) got the charging failure. Long story short, the dealer's service department, after poking around for a few weeks, told him that he has a Code 39 but the MMNA Tech Bulletin says that for the OBC failure to be covered by warranty ...

Hi @kiev, thanks for that. I added your input to PV1's already-existing HowTo Use the i-MiEV Remote thread. The threads in that subforum can only have one post.

Re: Process for programming new remote for I-MIEV

ediv, thank you for your post. You jogged my memory, as I was remiss in not providing this in our Tech/Reference subforum so it could be easily found. The original post was by jray3 back in December 2017, http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3911#p34760 , and I've now copied it into our...

Reprogramming/Registering Remote with Another i-MiEV

I had forgotten to add jray3's writeup from December 2017 into this subforum so it could be easily found. Sorry. I had a spare remote that I was listing for sale, but instead- bought another i-MiEV that was missing the fob! With the conspiratorial support of my dear old dad, a retired petroleum engi...

Re: MCU 20A 450VDC fuse investigation

@kiev, were you able to find a source (other than Mitsu) for that MCU fuse? In looking at your datasheet, it looks like the PEC part number is 27430011. I've had no luck with my searches and I like jray3's suggestion of a Littelfuse KLK020, except I'm unclear as to how to hold it in place for the sc...

Re: Canion

Hi DonDakin, I also used the STN1170 with Canion when it first came out, but it DOES NOT pass through the Ah capacity number. I subsequently bought an OBDLink LX Bluetooth and it works just fine for that and all other functions. I'm using an ancient Android tablet and occasionally and seemingly rand...

Re: Solved: p1a44 p1a45 isolation ac pump

@DCregulator, thank you so much for the information. Delighted that it saved an unnecessary a/c replacement! If I understood you correctly, there were actually two issues - 1. Moisture inside the air conditioner pump housing causing HV 'leakage' - cured by drying and sealing 2. A blown 12v(?) fuse I...
