Re: Shore Trip

I hyperspaced to work yesterday and back home. Going home seemed a bit brutal with 85F and lots of stop and go traffic and 60 minutes drive. Which is only about 10-15 more than the highway but it was way worse. The road, US 1, has too many lights. I used to work in Bala Cynwyd and it was 39 lights t...

Re: 97 miles on single charge with 2012 Mitsubishi iMiEV (US model)

Absolutely! I'm confident I could beat his results by not using B mode (using D and N instead). Aerowhatt Cool! I've often thought that N was a good option for downhill. Doesn't make sense to me to brake even if recharging. Can you tell us more about your style? You say accellerate briskly, so wher...

Re: 97 miles on single charge with 2012 Mitsubishi iMiEV (US model)

I think I have too much of a lead foot for D/B mode, in Eco Mode I can keep the needle more to the left much easier. I haven't had a chance to measure this in Cani0n but I seem to drive more efficiently in Eco Mode. I switch to B mode occasionally when I need to decelerate faster. When I see traffi...

Re: Shore Trip

RV parks use NEMA 14-50, so if you have a 14-30 dryer adapter with the Neutral leg cut off, that will work. Use RVParky.com to find RV parks. Thanks - RVParky is cool. Yes I can plug in if I can get close to the outlet. I'm considering a 14-50 adapter so I can use the extension cord too. I'm going ...

Re: Shore Trip

I don't know what my RR was when I started. I didn't record it because I didn't think it really mattered since it is based upon past driving. I have the dunlops so would they be OK to go to 56psi? Hills have an effect if you press the pedal more to get up them faster because cars are behind you. Whi...

Re: Shore Trip

5 free chargers and free 2 hour parking 27 miles from my house not far out of the way. Maybe I'll do that my first time going there and see how I do....

Re: Shore Trip

Good information, thank you gentlemen. I have always been they type to do more doing then studying. Although I am a researcher also. So anyway, it was a nice day for a drive so....I had the car at 14 bars and I plugged her in. When full, I left immediately to follow Stan's advice on the warm battery...

Re: Shore Trip

Just watched Stan's video again. He did the trip again at 45mph and same results. And I have better batteries right?

In his checklist at the end he says something about a warm battery. Does that mean you have to finish charging right before you leave?

Re: Shore Trip

I thought Nissan dealers were not happy with other brands charging these days. I did check out Plugshare and didn't find anything too convenient to stop for. Turnersville Nissan is quite a bit out of the way since I was going to take the more southern route to stay away from Philly, coming over the ...

Re: Cost to charge at home

That's pretty close to what we pay - 11 cents. Ours comes from a co-op and there's nothing else added. Comes out to pretty close to 2.5 cents per mile for 'fuel' For ICE costs - I usually quote 10 cents per mile. $2.50 gas in a 25 mpg car, $3.00 gas in a 30 mpg car . . . . comes out about the same,...
