wow... and right down the road from my previous address. I recognize the dealer, your stereotypical old school independent used car lot supplied by auction bottom-feeding.

Re: Future battery replacement

The question is whether it would fit the iMiev. Well besides blind hope, Mitsu continues to produce the Outlander PHEV for the rest of the world and claims it'll eventually arrive here, with well over 100,000 produced that they'll have to support in many markets, including a lot of government fleet...

Re: Future battery replacement

http://insideevs.com/gs-yuasa-promises-range-doubling-ev-battery-by-2020/ Getting a 120 mile replacement battery (with a Mitsu warranty  ) around 2020-2022 would do very nicely to stretch out MR BEAN's car-eer. At that point he'll be past 120,000 miles, so capacity degradation should be notic...

Re: What tire would you recommend?

Anyway, thanks for having such a great forum. I have been lurking for years, made my purchasing decision from the information here, and have had many questions answered by poking around. Donny Thanks Donny, glad to hear from you, and from the Les Schwab mention- you're in the Pac Northwest? It'd be...

Re: Used 12 SE Premium or Used 14?

With the way our batteries are aging so well and the near impossibility of upgrading a 2014 to the premium spec (camera, HDD music and bluetooth), I'd go for the 2012.

Re: Ripped of a protection panel under the car ??

Just bolting it back on without welding up that ripped mounting hole wouldn't be advisable.
From having removed a pack on a North American car, that bracket does not look familiar, but with a big gusset down the middle, it definitely appears to be structural.

Re: Range extender !

Interesting, but I don't see it as very practical. If stopping for an L1 recharge, it is easy enough to find an outlet and not take the penalty for hauling extra batteries on the journey. But, the small battery and inverter could appeal so some campers, preppers and off-grid tiny home denizens. If s...

Re: Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid (PHEV) thread

Problems continue for the PacHy. Many owners profess love for their new vans, but the problems have not been limited to a poor diode in the Traction Inverter Module (TIM). At least a couple vans have had a loose "bolts not torqued at all" cover on the transmission, causing fluid leakage an...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

...we are in Florida's rainy season and with that everytime it rains, I go to the nearby corporate section at night to burn off my tires... What in the world does that mean? Yeah, I was afraid to ask... I presume he's using the wet pavement in an unpopulated location to do donuts or burnouts and de...
