Re: How Many of You Have Had a Windshield Replaced?

I'd rephrase the question to "How many windshields have you had replaced?", as I'm on my third cracked windshield right now. So . . . . you've had ZERO replaced, so far? Don Clever reading Don, but alas I've replaced two of these rock magnet windshields already, and the third one di...

Re: How Many of You Have Had a Windshield Replaced?

I'd rephrase the question to "How many windshields have you had replaced?", as I'm on my third cracked windshield right now. Two separate origins with three cracks, fortunately all on the passenger side. I'm trying to get through the winter on this one, as the 'road sand' they use locally ...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Hi..i think it is really odd that it blows the fuse to the inverter while charging--i wouldn't have guessed that power was applied to the inverter at that time, can't see any reason why it would be needed or desired. That 20 amp fuse located in the inverter enclosure actually serves as both the cha...

Re: Salvaged basic black i- $3k

Auction descriptions are often incorrect, and more often than not on the conservative side... I have no doubt that it runs if Steve says so. Besides, with only 13k on the clock, the price could be worthwhile for the battery charger and key fob alone, not to mention wheels.

Salvaged basic black i- $3k

Just reminding folks that there's a complete and running 2012 ES with passenger side damage that has been sitting for a year in Indiana.
I have no financial connection, but have had previous positive dealings with the vendor.

Re: Marketing the USED I-MIEV

Wow, Rocky! That's quite a sale. Despite the handful of charger issues, which have proven to be a simple replacement, I'd think that the reliability record for our cars should be a selling point. For infotainment purposes, take a look at the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid forums and look at the nightmares...

Re: Front winter wheels that fit original tires

Interesting that the dealer supplied you with off-sized tires, but the rears are only 1.1% smaller in circumference than stock, so I think that'll be ok with the ABS and ASC, though ASC will probably kick in a bit more often in slippery conditions. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=185-55r1...

Always take an opportunity charge....

When you have a chance to charge- Take It! This bit of newby advice becomes EVer more important as our batteries begin to show some depreciation, and like many self-appointed experts, I failed to heed my own advice yesterday. For a morning event in Seattle with no onsite charging, I did a DCFC 30% t...
