Re: Is my battery dying ?

Shipping Yuasa batteries by air? That ought to go over well  ;) (Dreamliner incident?). Yup, they don't seem to literally ship anything anymore! ;) Li-ions can travel on cargo air only. So, provided, the paperwork is complete - should be no problem. Seller is getting back to me as unsure about...

Re: Is my battery dying ?

The precipitous drop is out of character for the car, and after reading many other threads here that started with similar concerns and ended up with a battery pack replacement under warranty due to a rapidly dying cell, I'm naturally quite concerned. Especially when I still have 3 years of personal...

Re: Is my battery dying ?

Simon, Thanks for all your data and investigations. Do you have any information on the temperature of the batteries? Despite our mild climate, heavy use and rapid charging can heat up the cells and on a few wintery days, I have rapid charged which has heated up the battery and increased the range. I...

Re: Miles/kwh long term data?

Hi Luddite - I had somehow missed your 2 April post. Between you, DBMandrake, and myself, we are seeing fairly consistent results on our wall-to-wheels numbers. Early in my i-MiEV ownership, I had carefully maintained my energy consumption for over 8000 miles and published the results here: http://...

Miles/kwh long term data?

Hi All, It's been just over a year that I have had my little ion. I have paid nothing except electricity, annual inspection and a wiper blade. I also paid 44GBP for a charging card to access public charging and some L3 charges. I have driven just over 10,000km in temperatures ranging from -5c to 25c...

Re: High Mileage - 2014 Miev - Level 3 winter battery charging time

I would say we Use fast charging (L3) about 10 times a week That's a lot more than I do! Great that it still seems to be in good shape! I haven't got canion yet because I don't want to get paranoid about monitoring cell health. I have only ever L3 charged to 80% and I don't think the L3 cha...

Re: High Mileage - 2014 Miev - Level 3 winter battery charging time

Yes ,I agree It looks like the battery has really held up well Looks great. :D Do you know of any other imiev's that have covered this type of distance? How many times have you charged using level 3? I have counted I've used Chademo 30 times in 6000 miles, but usually only to top up. (162kwh in 30 ...

Re: Who says the i-miev is cheap to operate?

Lol. I found the rear blade on Walmart.com for 3.68. There was no shipping charge when you do an in store pick-up... so I drove into the pickup zone and they brought it out to me... but they did not install it  Welcome to the forum, CLEiMiev, $3.68 is good. I paid 10 GBP for my front wiper bla...

Re: An iMiev for my wife

My wife took a Spark EV. Thanks everyone for your input. Hope you have good experiences with your EV :D That dealer had an amazing selection of vehicles - http://www.jnauto.com/hybrides_electriques_eng.php I hadn't even heard of the spark ev. We have the volt in the uk (extremely rare) and we are n...
