Re: Canion

For me this problem was caused by one of the recent updates. I always exit the program cleanly with the back button so it wasn't that. To fix it I simply reconfigured the two screens - touch on the left hand side of each line and you choose what you want displayed there. My TripTimer and My TripTime...

Re: Canion

My Canion just goes black after a while and the BT just disconnected. Is this only since the 143 update that came out recently ? I haven't had this happen, either on the older one or the newer one. I'm thinking I might have an old firmware on my OBD LX but how do you upgrade the firmware? The Andro...

Re: A New Tire For Us!

I wouldn’t recommend 175/60/15 on the rear.

That higher profile will increase the rolling radius and will probably cause the same issues with traction control and regeneration that I had.

Good luck...!

Re: A New Tire For Us!

Will the slightly wider size work on the stock front rims? Are the rims different on the car - front vs. back? Quatrac 5 - Size: 155/60R15 Grand Touring All-Season Size: 155/60R15 It is within a few mm of stock overall height. thanks. Front and rear wheel rims are completely different in width. I'd...

Re: A New Tire For Us!

Hi Don, thanks for that. How about All-Season Vredesteins for $74.23, also at Tire Rack? https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Vredestein&tireModel=Quatrac+5&partnum=465TR5QT5&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes I hadn't been looking recently - what happened to cause ou...

Re: Service, Diagnostic Troubleshooting and Repair, MUT 3

Is there any third party OBD-II scan tool software utilising the ELM327/STN11xx adaptors that works with the i-Miev/Ion/C-Zero at all ? I have a Scantool OBDLink LX which I bought to use with Canion on my Ion, which it does, however out of curiosity I've tried over a dozen Android based OBD-II scann...

Re: Can Bus Reverse Engineering for the iMiev

Interesting project, but you'd want to be super careful injecting any CAN messages that override the throttle mapping of the car as a bug or misunderstanding of the messages you're sending could result in uncontrolled acceleration. Yes I know that the 3rd party CAN bus based cruise controls ...

Re: Ah Rate And Full Charge

While driving the car it uses the last 15 miles of average consumption to calculate it, however it does not use just the last 15 miles driven when showing the full charge estimate. Some other calculation method is used there. I've proven this to my satisfaction by carefully keeping a log of driving...
