Re: Peugeot ION multiple problems

Open the small inspection cover on the Motor Control Unit (aka Drive Inverter) and verify that the fuse is blown. Chances are high that the On Board Charger/DC-DC Converter unit has internal damage also if the fuse has blown. Surely the high voltage needs to be isolated before opening the cover or ...

Re: Miev and lexia 3

Re: Miev and lexia 3

Hi, works without problem ;) Are you sure ? Although the VIN number on a C-Zero/Ion is detected automatically by Diagbox you have to enter a valid RPO number manually, which is not actually printed on the car. (I looked mine up on Puegeot service box) Diagbox has a database of vehicle VIN numbers b...

Re: Is my battery dying ?

i haven't done this yet, but i wouldn't hesitate to use LEV50N over the old cells, depending upon the measured available capacity (bench testing). Obviously if the 50N is worn out then there is no benefit, but otherwise newer is better when it comes to batteries and cells. Once the electrolyte gets...

Re: Is my battery dying ?

Any luck on the sourcing of cells? I have an ion the same age as yours. Mine only has 35k on the clock and I haven't yet read any values from canion but eventually a few cells will need replacing. A bit of a setback on the cell front. I have been dealing with a guy in Holland who buys EV packs from...

Re: Peugeot ION multiple problems

The car is running now but I'm having a few problems: 1. When I tried to charge it for the first time today with the home charger, first the green light ready lighting, after that showing charging for 3-4 seconds, I can hear some fans started inside and light charging is gone, only ready remaining....

Re: iCarsoft i909 Diagnostic Tool

If you try to clear codes for "permanent" faults on any car they will return immediately. This is because the fault condition is still present and it's sometimes the only way to find out what faults are still present and what are historic or intermittent faults.

Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter

That's where the difference is then. My Eaton EVSE drops the contactor out when the button is pressed. Either way, current flow stops, which is the important part. Yes. The car stops drawing power, but the EVSE contactor remains engaged and humming away, and the charge gauge remains lit on the dash...

Re: Morning timed charge to warm battery

Not sure how useful this would be in practice in actually warming the battery. Have you measured the battery temperature using Canion to check that it does much ? The Peugeot Ion doesn't support pre-heating mode like your i-Miev's do so in the winter when the windows are either iced or likely to fog...
