Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

Shortly after buying a used 2012 with 50,000 km on the odometer, the tire pressure indicator came on steadily. Checking all my tires revealed they were all the same, but I increased them all to 40 psi. The tire pressure light remained on for the next 2 years. Yesterday I put the car back on the road...

Re: Problem With Putting Car Into Park

Just an update. I had a neighbor jack up the left side of my car and using Liquid Wrench and lithium grease, lubricate the multi-position gear position switch on the left side of the transmission housing. It worked like a charm. My feeling is that in adverse climates this should be a routine mainten...

Re: Problem With Putting Car Into Park

Thanks for your replies.

I came across this thread about a similar problem.

It would appear that the first step in trying to resolve this issue would be to lubricate the shift cable components on the left side of the transmission housing.

Re: Problem With Putting Car Into Park

Just a further update: I discovered that although it is necessary to use the footbrake to move the shift lever out of PARK, on my car if my foot is on the footbrake it absolutely refuses to go into PARK even though the shift lever is in the PARK position. By not putting my foot on the footbrake, it ...

Problem With Putting Car Into Park

When I move the shift lever to the PARK position, the dash indicator frequently does not indicate that the car is in PARK and the car won't start. I discovered that if I am on a slight incline with my foot on the brake and put the shift lever into the PARK position, the car doesn't indicate that it ...

Re: 240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

I am hoping this link will appear properly which illustrates the differences between the various connectors mentioned. It appears that cutting off the EVSE NEUTRAL pin will make the EVSE compatible with the NEW DRYER socket. https://www.google.ca/search?q=10-30+dryer&rlz=1C1CHBF_enCA695CA695&...

Re: 240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

In my first post I said that the GROUND pin could be removed. This is incorrect.

It turns out that the NEUTRAL pin is the only difference between the 14-30 and 14-50 connectors. Removing the UNUSED NEUTRAL pin on the EVSE will allow the plug to be compatible with both the 14-30 and 14-50 sockets.

Re: 240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

I was incorrect. After taking the device apart they discovered that the Neutral was not connected and the Neutral pin may be removed to make the device compatible for both interfaces. The Neutral on the 14-30 and 14-50 are different shapes which means when the Neutral pin is removed, the EVSE may be...

Re: 240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

I just came across this thread and was curious about some of the comments.

At the following link

http://300mpg.org/2017/09/02/amazing-e- ... d-opening/

I learned that the EVSE doesn't use the ground lead and that it may be cut off making the device compatible with both interfaces.
