Re: Mitsu Stock USB or aftermarket stereo?

Just installed a USB cable on my iMiev - found a cable in Ebay for $3.15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Cable-Audio-Car-Media-Music-Adapter-Extension-Wire-For-Honda-Mitsubishi/202301587984 After popping off the radio bezel as described in links earlier in this thread, I looked down at the radio and re...

Re: Appraisal/Body Work Recommendations?

Hello, Was rear-ended the other day, not very hard, but hard enough dislodge the rear bumper so it was rubbing my tires, and also to slightly push in the area near a rear reflector. I just pulled the bumper back and snapped it back into place. It was just some kid coming back from a friend's funeral...

Re: Larger capacity battery replacement (20+kwh?!?)

Coming a little late to this thread. I've had my imiev since July 2016, and drive it to several music gigs per week. One of them is a 61 mile round trip, on roads where I'm averaging about 35-45 mph. I get home with about 12 miles of range left on the gauge. Often the RR gauge in the morning after r...

Re: iMiEV CdA?

oahumiev, now that you've had these for almost a half-year, I was wondering what your opinion of the AirTabs is now? I'm the weekend Miev driver while my wife is the daily commuter, she had driven the car for a few months before putting the AirTabs on and she noticed a big difference in the handlin...

Re: Why do Li-ion Batteries die?

During the cold months I was planning on charging through the night on 120v/8a to keep the pack active and warm. I let the car rest about an hour before charging it when I go home and the same when I leave in the morning. In the winter should I let the car rest after charging it in the morning or w...

Re: Turtle riding (How far has the turtle brought you ?)

The only thing I can think is that I hadn't run the SOC gauge down to below 2 bars for a while. Is it possible to get a false empty reading due to lack of gauge recalibration? False turtle? Barrylevine, your trip could be classified as a bit of a nailbiter and glad you made it home without having t...

Re: Turtle riding (How far has the turtle brought you ?)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm located in a suburb of Boston. When I started the trip, my RR was about 54 miles. Usually it's 70 or even 80 something after recharging, if I've been on non-highway roads, which is typical. So I thought that was a little low, but thought maybe it reflected a recent stint...

Re: Turtle riding (How far has the turtle brought you ?)

I just drove about the last 5 miles of a 61 mile trip with the turtle lit up (and was very glad to pull into my driveway.) My first instance of turtle riding. But I don't understand why this happened. I've driven this same route a few times previously with about 12 miles range remaining. It's a non-...

Re: Failed Seat Cushion Heater

Very useful information, glad to find it here! I just discovered (on this chilly rainy night) that my driver's side cushion heater doesn't go on; car is relatively new (July purchase). I'll check and make sure it's actually connected, but otherwise, it's under warranty and it'll go to the local deal...

Re: Free logo for sticker on car: "100% electric"

This is a good idea. The more other fossil-fuel drivers see electric cars on the road, the more acceptance there will be. And at this point the iMiEV is certainly seen as odd looking, but its source of motive power is mostly anonymous. There are certainly LOTS of Prius's (Prii?) on the road. I've se...
