Re: A/C Issue.

Ok brackets With the rubber bolts are $81 each, plus $1.56 for bolts to hold brackets to car. Total was about $251 Still should be covered under warranty. But I am happy, dealer is a tart though I fixed this issue with 10 cable ties installed tight enough to give the same amount of play as the OE b...

Re: Admin: Possible Copyright Issues

Any publication that is out of print, it's no longer protected by copyright for one IIRC. - That also, we have users from around the globe, and that copyright across boarders is variable and complex. - That postings typically snap an image from a user manual etc, which is to assist for non-business ...

Re: Ripped of a protection panel under the car ??

yeah, you might want to try and bold that back on... if possible with a fabricated plate to cover any damage to the battery pack housing... if you've put a hole in the plastic housing, that could pretty bad if water gets in... if - is somethings definitely worth checking!

Re: Are the 2012 models getting too risky?

Thanks Phb for your advice which I found very helpful. I did find out that the car can be charged from a normal household point. However your advice on the short range of the car is good to know. It would only be a second car for around town. We don't have any NZ new imiev here as Mitsubishi nz sto...

Re: Are the 2012 models getting too risky?

HI I'm in New Zealand and looking at a japanese imported i-miev, 2012, 18,000kmh, 10kwh battery, $14,000. Just wondering can anyone tell me how you can tell if the charger is mode one or mode two. I was told to make sure it was mode two so that it can charge in a normal socket in a NZ house. Thanks...

Re: Battery Replacement - Lessons Learned

I'm not so sure sending the pack back to japan, analysis, rebuilding and recomissioning would actually be cheaper... Though I may be wrong. The cost of recomissioning stuff is pretty high, and would have to be offset against the substantial volume discounts they get... meaning that the pack wouldn't...

Re: Mitsubishi on Capacity Loss

Update on my MiEV: The dealership called me and wants to keep the MiEV and drive it for as long as it takes to replicate the issue. They put a recording device on it and have a mechanic drive it every day. It took 71,000mi to have the event once, I just hope, that it doesn't take that many miles ag...

Re: A/C Issue.

If you have a jack and a couple of jackstands, you should be able to reach the A/C compressor by removing the left front wheel and inner fender lining. Is the US car different from the EU/ UK ones - if not, then the best way to get at the AC compressor isn't from a wheel arch, its from underneath t...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

2. Removing the seats sets off the airbag warning, and it takes a dealer visit to use the MUT to reset the code. . The old work-around for that particular event is to disconnect the 12V battery for about 10 mins before you take the seat out, and then re-connect the battery once everything is back O...
