Re: Battery Replacement - Lessons Learned

I'm not so sure sending the pack back to japan, analysis, rebuilding and recomissioning would actually be cheaper... Though I may be wrong. The cost of recomissioning stuff is pretty high, and would have to be offset against the substantial volume discounts they get... meaning that the pack wouldn't...

Re: Mitsubishi on Capacity Loss

Update on my MiEV: The dealership called me and wants to keep the MiEV and drive it for as long as it takes to replicate the issue. They put a recording device on it and have a mechanic drive it every day. It took 71,000mi to have the event once, I just hope, that it doesn't take that many miles ag...

Re: A/C Issue.

If you have a jack and a couple of jackstands, you should be able to reach the A/C compressor by removing the left front wheel and inner fender lining. Is the US car different from the EU/ UK ones - if not, then the best way to get at the AC compressor isn't from a wheel arch, its from underneath t...

Re: A/C Issue.

Fixed this with a load of cable ties recently, took about an hour start to finish. Job done.

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

2. Removing the seats sets off the airbag warning, and it takes a dealer visit to use the MUT to reset the code. . The old work-around for that particular event is to disconnect the 12V battery for about 10 mins before you take the seat out, and then re-connect the battery once everything is back O...

Re: Some trouble with AC on my C-zero

Thanks for the tips. 1. Regarding the fuses, I'm not sure what to look for. I'm not exactly keen on relying on the dealer. My experience with them has been less than satisfactory. Last year, when my fan broke down, they had the car for 3 days to identify the problem, charged €100. Something that in ...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

Surprising to me, the RR reduction is independent of "coolth" setting, but is very susceptible to fan setting. Very true - We discovered this early on. Apparently, it's how rapidly you carry the 'cool' away from the evaporator and not how cold you have it set to - Once the car gets comfy,...

Re: Some trouble with AC on my C-zero

so I just fixed the AC unit as it was graunching becasue it had amlost come completely free from the mounting parts and was making a pretty bad racket. Now that's fixed it's all fine. There are several parts to check: 1. The pollen filter as suggested by Don. 1a. Check all the relevant fuses. 2. Jac...

Re: Mitsubishi on Capacity Loss

Mitsubishi UK are suffering their own capacity loss: on the warranty itself. Only 5 years on all parts, so my '12 is now out of battery warranty as of March - and even though I asked them if they had plans to increase it to 10y - and they said yes last year - they never actually did it. As far as ba...

Re: Trouble locating replacement windshield

Standard insurance in the UK covers the front windshield as a non-recorded claim, normally with a small excess of about $75... meaning that it does not effect your policy at all. This is to make a provision for the front screen only. The idea being that having a good front windshield delivers a grea...
