Re: Failed traction battery. How many weeks does Mitsubishi make you wait?

i wonder if they charged the 12V aux battery? it would surely have drained over 11 weeks.

They would have charged the new main pack and that would attempt to charge the aux also. But if the aux is old or weak then it wouldn't charge and that could explain why it wouldn't go to READY.

2012 salvage ES, Virginia

There is a crash test salvage vehicle on Leedstown Rd in Colonial Beach in Northern Virginia.

EDIT: found out the motor is missing, so it's just junk.

Re: I have a secret

Is it possible they went by the service interval screen by mistake? There are a bunch of screens that are easily confused. It would be tough for a 2017 to have 14,000 miles already, but I suppose it's possible. This seems most likely--15,000 mile first service interval minus 300 miles driven gives ...

Re: Canion

It could be that they have changed the PIDS for the 2015 car that are used for the CMU data, which is the cell monitoring units reporting of cell voltage and temperature. Tesla did that on late model cars after the original PIDS were being discovered and reported on the TMC forum. That's when i lost...

Re: I have a secret

The MUT 3 tool is able to read and write data to all the ECUs on the car over the CAN buss thru the OBDII port. The combination meter that displays mileage is on the CAN buss to the EV-ECU, which stores the odometer reading (Data List Item #1) along with numerous other data items in memory and on EE...

Re: Canion

That is just the recycling code number for lithium ion batteries. For example high density polyethy plastic, HDPE, has a recyc code of "2". Your pack is in great shape if you get that sort of range, easily an 88-cell 16kWh pack, especially since voltage is at 360V. The 80 cell packs are on...

Re: I have a secret

Did you buy it from a dealer as a new car or a used car? If so maybe they reset it using the MUT3 tool to give you a "fresh" start on the mileage for warranty purposes. You get a barely used car with a nearly new warranty. They can't sell a car as new with 14k miles, and can't sell a used ...

Re: Maximum Miles Driven on One Charge

Today i wasn't paying attention and forgot about a quick lunch trip, then on the way home drove past a LVL3 when maybe i should have stopped--even just 5 minutes of Chademo does wonders. But i love how much fun and excitement this car creates. The usual daily commute is take kids to school, then to ...

Re: Aux battery short circuit

It's not fair if they start the auction price already set too high. Maybe walk away from it. You have to cover yourself for risking to buy damaged goods. Assume the pack is bad and the best you could do would be to sell off some parts, although almost all of the electrical parts (ECUs) are not usefu...
