Re: OEM EVSE Fault

Do you have any neighbors or friends who drive a Nissan Leaf, or any other EV that uses the same handle? See if you can swap out to determine if the problem is your car or your evse unit.

Re: Is my battery dying ?

That's interesting test data, thanks for sharing. From what little data we can find on the cells, 4.2 V is 100% and they consider drained to 0% at 2.75 V when making cell meaurements at Yuasa. We don't really know how the car measures and reports battery capacity versus the yuasa procedure, and ther...

Re: CanIon doesn't work for 2015+ ?

... The temperature reading is not correct as Canion doesn't read cell temp (and cell voltage) at all at 2015 I-miev and later. Is this really true? It is the first i have heard of Canion not working for later models, and would indicate that Mitsu changed the CAN PIDS for these measurements. Have M...

Re: OEM EVSE Fault

where are you located? Is it raining or high humidity, near an ocean, etc--sometimes environmental conditions can affect the ground path. Is there dirt or debris or insects in the charging port--get a flashlight to inspect down in the handle and the port. My handle is outside all the time and i had ...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Sounds like it could be a wiring or connector issue if the CAN1 buss is not being seen or responding. Maybe open and re-seat all the CAN buss connectors and look for cut or pinched wires. The junction between CAN1 and CAN2 is under the rear seat. Has anyone been in there doing a recall service for a...

Re: Need EV BatMon Help in North Central New Jersey

Sorry to hear about your breakdown.

Did canion show all your cells evenly matched in voltage, or is there a bad cell?

Do you think missing oil in the gearbox was a factor with your 2-bars-left turtle episode?

Re: How to shift gears

i think you are right that both are read and compared for a sanity check and to provide redundancy.

The lower range sensor would also be used while in R--no need for huge torques and high acceleration while backing up...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

@Lic, does your car have a DCQC port--the Chademo level 3 charging port for HV DC directly to the pack?

Also do you have an OBDLink dongle and the Canion app on an android device to monitor the cell voltages? Or another miev owner in your area that has Canion and could plug in and do a quick check?

Re: How to shift gears

Since then also i have found that the accelerator pedal has two separate hall sensor channels. One channel uses a ~5V range full scale, the other is only half that, ~2.5V full scale. My guess is that the gear position selection causes the EV-ECU to use either the main or sub channel as the input com...
