Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

Looks like a bargain at $1799. compared to the dealer price.

i would like to take a look at fixing your "bad" one.

Re: Traction battery going bad or something else?

The only way i can see for smoothing to be effective is to turn on all the balancers except for the lowest cell and try to bleed them down to the target value. This could be done at any SOC while the car is stationary and not charging. If there were any charging currents greater than 0.1 Amps, then ...

Re: Traction battery going bad or something else?

i would be very interested to hear the results of the "voltage smoothing". i have a low cell and went to the dealer to ask if they would perform this on my car, but they said the discharge and charging procedure would have to be done a couple of times and then they talk to Mitsubishi and d...

Re: Not Charging. Main Inverter Fuse blown

i would replace the 12V battery--for an EV there is no such thing as a "good" 70% charged 12V battery. Did the fuse blow immediately when you turned the key to START, or did it happen while driving? If at START, then i doubt that your MCU is bad--the most likely culprit is a defective prec...

Re: 2012 miev ZERO battery degradation

Looks like a frozen screen picture of stale data. The phone will retain the last screen before the BT connection was lost, and show this the next time the phone is turned ON. you can see in the lower right corner that it is not connected, 0 frames per seconds. The only degradation is the lower volta...

Re: Feb 2012 Miev with Pack Trouble at 40k miles

That's what mine looks like also--one cell that is depressed 100 to 200 mV and no way to bring it up with the others. Seems like we are getting quite a few reports like this. It's probably just a matter of time for everyone's pack to go south like this, which is a real shame since they destroy all t...

Re: Feb 2012 Miev with Pack Trouble at 40k miles

i made an appointment to take it in on december 11th, i hope they will do a "cell smoothing function" with the MUT3, but i doubt they will listen to my input and just follow orders from the home office...i expect they will eventually find that there is a bad cell and that the pack will be ...

Re: Traction battery going bad or something else?

Sounds like you are having the same issue that i have right now--a weak cell in the battery pack. See this

Re: Which OBD scan tool should I buy using caniOn app

Turn off bluetooth, then while in the presence of the dongle (press the BT button) re-enable BT on the device--it should scan for available BT devices and the OBDLink will show on the list. click to select and OK when it asks to pair. It has lost it's original pairing and will need to be re-paired. ...

Re: Canion

That doesn't seem to be out of line or an issue. The BMU will throw a DTC if a cell temperature exceeds 60C, or goes below -30C, otherwise it will just run the pump and fan as needed. You can go back after charging and everything has settled down to see if one cell is reading out of line or not. For...
