Re: Peugeot ION multiple problems

i looked at your printout file, and it seems that a power supply voltage is only showing 1.40 volts. i would expect to see 12V, since all the ECUs have a power supply feed from the Aux battery.

What did you ever find out about the 20A fuse in the MCU?

Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter

Howdy Bjron, It appears that your car has more issues than just the On Board Charrger. i would like to suggest and recommend that you please start a new thread for your own car--this will help focus attention on troubleshooting and solving your numerous issues. In addition i would prefer that misinf...

Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter

... I have just finished repairing my onboard charrger A friend changed the three big capacitors 680 μF, the relay, the capacitor 2.2 μF, the two capacitors 1000 pF and both 4.7ohm resistors. ... Did you look at the 20A fuse in the Motor Control Unit--many times the fuse will blow when an OBC goes ...

Re: Imiev repair - precharge resistor

There was a forum user "Dani" that dismantled a wreck to add a second pack to his car. He had it open with photos of the contactors and resistor, but i couldn't read the value. i had sent him a PM to request the value, but never heard back from him.

Re: Peugeot ION multiple problems

Open the small inspection cover on the Motor Control Unit (aka Drive Inverter) and verify that the fuse is blown. Chances are high that the On Board Charger/DC-DC Converter unit has internal damage also if the fuse has blown. Opening the cover High Voltage Precautions You need to charge up your 12V ...

Re: Regen vs Neutral and speed for max range

Is the bottom part of the hill (between mile 5 to 17) on an interstate? It seems that going 60-67 mph uphill would be using a huge amount of energy. Of course it doesn't really matter too much because you know you can always coast or regen as necessary to make it back home--but what an awesome climb...

Re: not charging my iON, cell or CMU or BMU problems

That does seem to be an unusual coincidence. The CMU master component (a microcontroller chip) is shown near the top of the photo on page 2. There are also 4 aluminum electrolytic capacitor not shown in that photo. Plus numerous tiny ceramic chip capacitors. Failure of any of those, such as a hairli...

The boards are not paired, but we have not heard a report of a defect in the top board as yet.

Re: Constant 12V with ignition off

Here is a link to the 2011 radio wiring diagram, you didn't say the year of your car. There is a 12V line fed from the battery thru a fusible link that has power all the time.

Re: not charging my iON, cell or CMU or BMU problems

...Loosing the SOC entirely with no anomaly on the cells voltage readings makes me think something else (something more ?) is faulty. What if it was the CMU master component (the one that stores the VIN and communicates with the BMU ) that was failing since the beginning ? could it explain both the...
