Re: 97 miles on single charge with 2012 Mitsubishi iMiEV (US model)

When the red needle is on the letter c in the word "Eco" of the power meter, the car is drawing 25 Amps. When the needle is straight up it is 50 Amps, the next tick to the right is 100 and the last to the far right is 150 A. Assuming these are full 50 A-hr cells would imply that you could ...

Charging Nit Pick

One aspect that i find annoying is that it is nearly impossible to see the "fuel" gauge during charging, from outside the car. i have to open the door and look in to see the gauge. From that standpoint i like the way they did on the Leaf with the charging level indicator on the top of the ...

Re: Mitsu EVSE Ground Fault

The old version does 2 ground checks before allowing charging: one checks that the ground w...

Re: Cost to charge at home

i just use easy round numbers. Electricity from the wall is measured in units of kilo-Watt-hour, and costs ~10¢ per kWh. The battery pack in our car is nominally sized as 16 kWh, and there are 16 bars on the "fuel" gauge--so one bar is about 1 kWh and costs a dime. So i tell folks that it ...

Re: Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

That's an interesting story--yes i think you cleared that trouble code.

Years ago Bosch has a "MUT" type device for accessing engine parameters, diagnostics, etc. Funny thing is that is was called the "Bosch Hammer"

Re: Ah Rate And Full Charge

What does Canion report for the pack voltage and for the difference between the max and min cell voltage? If you have a low cell or unbalanced pack, then the Ah capacity data will be affected, as will the State of Charge %. Temperature is a big factor also that affects the measurement. It is a dynam...
