How would the dealer know what cells were used in the battery pack?

Re: trouble charging 2012 miev with level 1 charger

Check your 12V auxillary battery. Is it the original OEM, or what is the age of it? What is the voltage reading with everything off, and with the key turned to ON, and turned to start and car is READY. If the battery is old and weak then it may be worn out and can't function enough to allow charging...

Re: trouble charging 2012 miev with level 1 charger

Where are you located--maybe someone is in your area to give a hand. Or a Nissan Leaf owner could try using their evse unit. Have you tried a different wall outlet? If the outlet ground wire was not connected properly, or the outlet polarity was not correct, then the evse will not allow charging to ...

Re: New member needs help please!

Nice looking car with low miles and full leather interior--it's a premium edition so the price may be a little higher than one with less options. There's probably not many available, so you have to trade off price and availability plus waiting versus getting on the road now. i have 60 to 70 mile dai...

Re: Mitsubishi on Capacity Loss

Did they give you a list of the 11 trouble codes and/or the 2 that won't clear--maybe we could do a little de-coding and start a wager-pool on the final culprit...

Re: GENTLEMEN. I need help.

Welcome to the school of hard knocks--getting an education is an expensive venture. 1. As they say on the label, test in a small area first before trying to treat the entire surface. 2. Removing the seats sets off the airbag warning, and it takes a dealer visit to use the MUT to reset the code. 3. T...

Re: Vehicle did not start

With a 3 year old auxillary battery that is the likely culprit. Did you try charging the 12V separately? Do you have a voltmeter--check the voltage of the 12 V starting battery and report back the reading. If it is weak then you will have this problem. Measure the voltage with everything off, then a...

Re: Mitsubishi on Capacity Loss

Thinking about the mechanism for a charger-related failure--would it be an overall pack degradation due to repeatedly overcharging?

If so, then is it an algorithm issue (programmed at too high cut-off voltage), or a sensor/measurement issue?

Re: Service, Diagnostic Troubleshooting and Repair, MUT 3

It does display the capacity in Ahr. That data field is found in the "BMU" section. i haven't been thru the "Display" section, but i'm guessing that may be where the km or miles units are found--i'll put it on the list of stuff to check. There is a video on utube where a dude ste...

Re: Service, Diagnostic Troubleshooting and Repair, MUT 3

i decided to take a chance on the iCarsoft i909 even though the website seems hosed. So i got one on a buy it now auction listing for $120, and it works great. Can read all the data from the control modules plus trouble codes, didn't have any codes to reset, but it will likely do that also. It's not...
