Re: Widening Takata airbag recall

No I didn't pay.
But I have that Brown interior color because of the SE and the passanger airbag that you can see on the dash was still dirty and same color.

My point of saying did I get ripped off was, did they actually Replace it. Others have said it is a black cover. ? :?:

Re: Widening Takata airbag recall

Dunno why the website claims unavailability- MR BEAN got his new bag on Friday, car got it's much-needed wash too within 45 minutes. Only downside is that the bag only came in basic black, not the 'upgraded' coffee brown of the 2012 SE trim level. Not worth arguing over. BUT, as that brown coating ...

Re: A/C Issue.

I would have ziptied it too but I couldn't find a rubber thick enough and I don't have a lift to get under the car. Plus my driveway is on an angle so didn't want to risk it. That's ok, other then tires it is the only thing I have had to do to the car. PLUS, if this fails in a year or 2 (now that I ...

Re: A/C Issue.

Ok brackets With the rubber bolts are $81 each, plus $1.56 for bolts to hold brackets to car.
Total was about $251

Still should be covered under warranty.

But I am happy, dealer is a tart though

Re: A/C Issue.

Had the 'i' in last week to do the Recalls. Told them about the AC thing and their "i tech" had no idea where the AC was :? One of the desk guys was saying that he was going to see if they could get it covered by Warranty thinking it is like the Motor Mount. They said my Warranty was done,...

Re: A/C Issue.

Dealer was $81 for the bolts !!! :o Seriously, that is robbery at it's finest. I have to bring in for the other recall stuff and need to get this done but I don't have a lift to play under the car. Plus I can't find anything local that would replace it :( Funny I found that rubber thing abou...

Re: LED Lighting

Small update on the Cyclops brake light that I replaced the bulbs in.
I left one original in, I now know that the Original is BRIGHTER then the other 3 I replaced with LED.
I have not put them back in, but just wanted all to know that the original ones are bright !

Re: Cold Weather Performance (power/regen)

Mine does it too, even on a level road. Since I drive the same back roads every day, I know when I will hit ones that kick out the Regen. I have gotten used to it.
You just learn to plan for it. Once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad... if you are paying attention ;)

Re: Winter tires, for year round use ?

Yes I read all the other posts on which tires and the Yoko was not a choice due to loss of range. I was just thinking that if I had to buy new tires every year I might as well just buy cheap for front tires. But that more I read on the Winter tires and that they are made Softer... I am thinking this...

Winter tires, for year round use ?

Ok so I ask because I found for $56 (+shipping of $12) Yokahama Ice Gaurd tires at Tire rack (each) They are NON-studded Winter tires. These are for the FRONT tire... that I seem to wear out in 8-9K of driving. Backs are fine and I am thinking if I have to replace the tires every 15 months, why not ...
