Re: Wallbox Quasar or other bi-directional chademo

hmm i assumed it could be used for emergency backup power but maybe i was just interpreting optimistically. that said, i have a salvage chademo cable and i want somebody to make the black box that goes between that and the house when the power goes out. and also to figure out how to tell the car its...

Re: Drivetrain transplant

i have two electravans, (evalbum.com/4180) with mediocre brakes and no regen and old dying lithium batteries, very primitive analog stuff. they are rear wheel drive and i think with axles from the narrower version of the miev the drive unit would swap in nicely. if small enough wheels and tires coul...

Wallbox Quasar or other bi-directional chademo

https://electrek.co/2020/01/06/wallbox-quasar-tesla-nissan/ they describe a new bi-directional chademo unit that can charge the car at 7.4kw and also discharge it to provide power at that same rate. Would the miev need a software or wiring change to get it to give up power through the chademo? Also ...

I have one in New Orleans, had it about two years now. Some reduction in range but not outrageous. If you are in New Orleans hit me up.

power windows not working

I tried to roll up all the windows at once while on chademo charging, and now all the window controls are not working, as well as the driver's power lock. . passenger power lock and remote lock still fine. So I assume it isn't the fuse. Does that door switch panel share w any other Mitsubishi?

Re: Supplemental cooling for the charger.

ok i ordered the fan. Instead of a temp activated switch, is there a 12v source nearby that is on when the charger is on? that would do for me since its pretty hot here for a lot of the year and the fan is only a few watts.
