Re: Cigarette lighter does not work anymore?

Now I found the error. The terminal at the back of the plug was burned together. A plastic disk and a little violence :x , and it works again.

Re: Cigarette lighter does not work anymore?

Sorry for my English language, but the meaning is that the fuse is not broken, or the fuse is not blown out, the fuse is OK now, but still no 12 VDC in the cigarette lighter.

Re: Cigarette lighter does not work anymore?

Hi Don:
The fuse has sprung a few times and each time I have checked the fuse with my multimeter (ohm).
Fuse no 2 and 15 A for: Accessory socket.

Re: Solar charging.

My electric car C-Zero is from 2011. I bought it for 14 months. Ago. It had driven 20000 km when I bought it. Now it has traveled 37000 km. Everything works fine and no problems. Yes, there is CHAdeMO port, but it can not be hacked. In Denmark, the price for power from solar cells only $ 0.086 / Kwh...

Re: Solar charging.

The high voltage system is disconnected from inside the battery pack.

Thanks PV1.
So I have to open the battery box, to locate the 2 terminals.

Solar charging.

Where is the +/- terminals located where high voltage always is present?
I want to charge from my sun panels directly to the main battery.
The DC/DC converter output is adjusted to 80% off fully charge voltage approx. 352V.
No BMS is active as the car are shut down.

Re: Sun panels charging.

Hi Don.
#cable directly connected to 16 KW#
A fuse and diode can do a lot to safety.
I do this kind of charging on my electric motorbike:
18V solar panels > dc-dc converter 84v > 25S LiFePo4.
I use this dc-dc converter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141735098365

Re: Using I Miev for backup power unit

Everybody talks about to charge with high power. I want to charge with very low power directly from my sun panels. So can I connect this Cable to my dc-dc converter (35v > 350V) an charge my car by using CHAdeMo port? http://www.emotorwerks.com/index.php/store-juicebox-ev-charging-stations/dc-chargi...

Re: Sun panels charging.

Somewhere deep in the battery bay must be a +/- terminal .
If one here connects the output of the dc - dc converter directly?
