Re: Illinois Insanity

From the OPs article: "The highest fees are in Georgia and West Virginia, each of which charges EV drivers $200 per year." They need to add Idaho @ $200/yr. Because of adding EVs in the mix, I'd suggest getting rid of all state gas tax. But it has to be done in all states so that border ci...

Re: How Many of You Have Had a Windshield Replaced?

Same thing happened to me. Replaced mine in Aug 2017. Had the crack for a year and got tired of it. Initially we had the glass drilled to stop the growth. But the crack laughed at that.
Total cost with tax from Safelite was $417.85.

Yea. I've been loving mine up in Idaho. I don't think I'll ever see that good of a price for a new EV again.

Re: 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV SE for sale -- new traction battery!

I like it when 'sold' posts stay up so I (we) can see the market value it sold at. It helps me buy (and sell) other cars.
However, if the title can have the word "SOLD" added, that would make life a little more informative; if you get my drift...

Re: Winter tires, for year round use ?

Though I've never had any real seat time in a Volt with OEM tires, my work's Volt currently has some rather aggressive looking winter tires on it. Range sucks, but that car can take a 40 MPH turn at 60 with no sweat (meaning a turn that sensible people take at 40  ). As for the Volt's range, t...

Re: What Are Electric Car Owners Paying to Charge Their Cars

When I lived in Illionis (Springfield area) they had complicated system; a lot of taxes and fees and that changes again afer 300kWHrs is hit. I couldn’t follow it. So I just looked at my total monthly kWhr and total bill and it seems to always divide to 8.7¢/kWhr. We paid about $100/month. Most of t...

Re: Mitsubishi and Nissan

I could be quoting this wrong since I'm just writing off of memory.
Didn't Nissan charge their batteries to 4.2V while Mitsi charges to 4.1V? That would make the Mitsi battery last much longer. Thus I hope Nissan and Mitsi don't get their battery technologies mixed up.

Re: Legion Solar on Kickstarter

"If my power goes out, can Legion Solar still provide power to my home? No. Legion solar generates electricity only when there is grid power present. " If I ever go solar it would be for self sufficiency. So Legion is out. Plus it's a great bonus to have solar power if grid power goes down...
