Re: A bill in congress to stifle EV's and alternative energy generally

Hi Don. I strongly agree. Don't get me started, or we might turn this forum into a political and social rant  (albeit, IMO "justified rant.") That said.... One rare, but documentable, occasions, calls to senators and representatives on specific issue have resulted in stopping some of...

Re: What tire would you recommend?

Thanks Don...

Your reply give me a bit more confidence that I made the right call spending a tad more for the Dunlops.
4 to 7% more range is significant... especially as our batteries get older.

And you did remind me to consider Yokohamas when our Subaru next needs tires.

Re: What tire would you recommend?

Well, I went ahead and placed an order for the Dunlops (in part because I hadn't yet heard back any replies/strong-opinions from you guys). FWIW, I did so on (a) the "better the devil you know" theory, and (b) that arguably the Dunlops should get a bit better range than the Yohohamas, and ...

Re: What tire would you recommend?

Requesting any updates on the Yokohama vs Dunlop for rear tires: I stupidly cut a turn too close and dinged one rear wheel/tire into the curb. Thought I'd gotten away scott-free as it was a low curb and I saw no rim damage. But then saw a bleb/blister on the outside sidewall of the OEM Dunlop. Of co...

Here's a serious survey wanting experience and opinions from EV owners

This is being conducted by Portland State University: To participate you can go to https://portlandstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_72m9PhyI9Jutqrb OR http://trec.pdx.edu/OregonEVStudy The questions were not the usual idiot questions IMO. Expect to take 10 minutes to complete the survey. "The Po...

Re: Mitsubishi website

They where not serious about the car in the first place. Just another compliance car like so many other EV's on the market. Of course they are coming out with one that they are in partnership with Nissan. So the MiEV will be history and also one of the least expensive VE's sold in the USA. Going to...

Hi Don. You wrote .. "......It's even tougher down here because we have virtually no charging network to use if we wanted to take a long trip ..." Well, this isn't a great solution , but you COUKD take your charger with you and an extension and plug in anywhere (frieind's house, etc.) ther...

Re: Widening Takata airbag recall

Pretty sure I already posted at least part of this: Here near Medford Oregon , after some nagging from me, Mitsubishi arranged with their FORMER dealer (now just Subaru/Volvo) to be the pickup point for us iMev owners in the valley. About 10 days ago four of us dropped off our EVs there. They trucke...
